One cannot imagine the Easter holiday in Dubrovnik without the special event that has now been organized for the sixth consecutive year and that aims to promote the customs and traditions of the Gornja sela (˝Upper Villages˝) of the Dubrovnik Primorje (littoral) region. This year's ˝Easter in Primorje˝ will take place on Easter Monday, March 28th, 2016, starting at 3 pm on the plateau next to the watering hole in the village of Mrčevo. The main organizers are the Dubrovnik Littoral Wedding Association, the City of Dubrovnik, and the City of Dubrovnik Tourist Board.

Participating in the program: the Zaton Brass Band, the Dubrovnik Musketeers, the Dubrovnik Littoral Wedding Association with a performance of a traditional littoral wedding, and Little Lindjo at the end of the program, along with a dozen Cultural Arts Associations (KUD) from Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Dalmatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Guests at the event in Mrčevo include the KUD ˝Sv. Juraj˝ from the nearby village of Osojnik,  the KUD ˝Hutovo˝ from neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, the klapa a capela singing group ˝Kurenat˝ from the island of Mljet, the KUD ˝Marko Marojica˝ from the Župa region of Dubrovnik, the KUD ˝Stjepan Radić˝ from the village of Pridvorje in the Konavle region, the KUD ˝Sv. Ilija˝ from the village of Kljaci near the city of Drniš, and the KUD ˝Ponikovska poskočica˝ from the village of Ponikve on the Pelješac peninsula.

The hosts have prepared a rich selection of local food and beverages, especially the young home-grown lamb from the Antunović family farm located on the Pelješac peninsula.

Free Libertas public bus service will be provided for this event, departing from the main bus station in Gruž towards Mrčevo at 1 pm and 2 pm, and returning from Mrčevo at 7 pm and 8 pm.
