Four million overnight stays reached 17 days earlier than last year
DUBROVNIK IS BREAKING RECORDS
Dubrovnik recorded four million nights on October 11th, 2019, which is 17 days earlier than last year.

 

According to the eVisitor tourist check-in and check-out system, not including nautical data, 1 288 490 tourists (12 percent more than in the same period last year) visited Dubrovnik from January 1st to October 11th, 2019, and made 4 001 084 overnight stays (five percent more than in 2018). Since the beginning of the year, the largest number of guests in Dubrovnik has been from the United Kingdom (182 177 arrivals, 845 068 overnight stays; average stay: five days), from the USA (147 805 arrivals, 409 072 overnight stays, average stay: three days), followed by guests from Germany, France, Spain, Australia, Ireland, Croatia, Italy and Canada.

A significant increase was recorded from the following markets: Germany 40 percent in arrivals and six percent in overnight stays, Ireland 34 percent in arrivals and 34 percent in overnight stays, Brazil 24 percent in arrivals and 23 percent in overnight stays, China 23 percent in arrivals and 24 percent in overnight stays, Russia 20 percent in arrivals and 10 percent in overnight stays, USA 15 percent in arrivals and 15 percent in overnight stays, France 12 percent in arrivals and 10 percent in overnight stays, Poland 11 percent in arrivals and eight percent in overnight stays, South Korea 10 percent in arrivals and 14 percent in overnight stays, Canada nine percent in arrivals and nine percent in overnight stays, Spain seven percent in arrivals and five percent in overnight stays and Croatia five percent in arrivals and five percent in overnight stays.

According to a report by the Croatian National Tourist Board, when it comes to nautical dana, there were 45 532 arrivals (10 percent more than in 2018) and 284 342 overnight stays (six percent more) from the beginning of the year to 30th of September. In the nautical tourism, most of the guests were from the United Kingdom, Australia, USA, Germany, Croatia, France, Belgium, Poland, New Zealand and Spain.

From the total number of tourists from January 1st to October 10th, 2019, 693 405 guests stayed in 50 Dubrovnik hotels, which is an increase of 17 percent in hotel accommodation compared to the same period in 2018, and recorded 2 053 556 of overnight stays, or five percent more than last year.

There were 456 596 guests staying in private accommodation from the beginning of the year to October 10th, showing an increase of 10 percent compared to the last year. In the same period, 1 510 270 overnight stays were recorded in private accommodation, which is seven percent more than in 2018.
