A great award for Croatian and Dubrovnik gastronomy
The first Michelin Star has arrived in Dubrovnik!

As reported by the Croatian National Tourist Board, according to the latest Michelin Guide for 2018, the world's largest and most prestigious restaurant guide, the restaurant 360º is the first Dubrovnik restaurant to receive a Michelin star. This year, Croatia has a total of three Michelin-star restaurants and 55 Michelin-recommended restaurants. The Michelin brand Bib Gourmand, which is awarded to restaurants that offer quality menus at affordable prices, has been given for the first time this year.

The restaurants Pelegrini (Šibenik) and 360º (Dubrovnik) received one Michelin star each, while the restaurant Monte (Rovinj) retained its existing star. The list of restaurants with Michelin recommendations (with a spoon and fork sign) has been expanded with 24 new restaurants compared to last year. These are the results of secret tours of Croatian restaurants by professional Michelin inspectors, who visited restaurants around the country during 2017. A new guide for Croatia was published on Michelin's website https://www.viamichelin.com/web/Restaurants?address=Croatia.

Along with Michelin's star for the 360º restaurant, eleven restaurants in Dubrovnik this year deserved Michelin's recommendation (with a spoon and fork sign): Kopun, Pantarul, Bistro Tavulin, Stara Loza, Proto, Zuzori, Vapor, Dubrovnik, Above 5, Nautika i Pjerin, whom we wholeheartedly congratulate. These Dubrovnik restaurants have been included in an elite gastronomic society, the official Michelin Guide for 2018.

The Michelin restaurant guide is one of the most famous in the world. Its recommendations are appreciated by both restaurant goers and professionals, because of its strict criteria that restaurants must satisfy upon inspection by professional Michelin inspectors. This is a great acknowledgment for and advertisement for Croatian gastronomy and it serves as encouragement and motivation for further improvements and achievements on the Croatian gastronomic scene, as well as a great global advertisement of Croatia as a top gourmet destination.

Since gastronomy is one of the most important tourist products in Croatia's tourism strategy, we believe that similar acknowledgments in the future will be sure to follow.
