The City of Dubrovnik Tourist Board won the Best Stay 2017 award in the ˝Best Destination for Luxury Travel˝ category at the conference of the same name, the Best Stay conference, held in Split. In competition with two other finalists, Opatija and Split, Dubrovnik was awarded as a destination that stands out in its luxury tourism, both in its offer and presentation.

The Best Stay conference, organized by the company Proper events and research, focuses on luxury and quality in every aspect of the guest experience in tourism, and brings together experts, of which there were about 250 at least year’s conference. This is a chance to become acquainted with the latest trends, as well as for exchanging experiences with the leading people in tourism. New this year are awards in more categories, including ˝Best Luxury Hotel˝, ˝Most Innovative Hotel Design˝, ˝Best Destination for Luxury Travel˝, where Dubrovnik was awarded, followed by ˝Most Innovative ICT Hotel Solution˝ and ˝Most Innovative Hotel Website Design Solution˝.

The award was presented to the representative of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Siniša Žakula, by one of the seven international judges from the jury, Gianluca Laterza of TripAdvisor. This valuable acknowledgment of Dubrovnik is an affirmation of the effort that all of the members of Dubrovnik tourism invest in the presentation of Dubrovnik and the effort, but also of the love, they bring into their work. It is an indication that both guests and the industry recognize how Dubrovnik and its luxury tourism stand out, which provides additional motivation for work, development and following modern trends in the future, as well.
