DUBROVNIK SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA HOLIDAY CONCERTS

Traditionally in December the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra organizes seasonal concerts for Dubrovnik citizens and guests. Entrance to these concerts is free and they regularly gather many visitors. One of these concerts will take place on Wednesday, December 7th, on the day of the feast of St. Nicholas and the Day of the Defenders of Dubrovnik, which will be held at the Dominican church, starting at 8 pm. The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and Mixed Choir Libertas will perform and the concert will be conducted by Ivo Lipanović, while the renowned Dubrovnik mezzo-soprano Dubravka Šeparović Mušović will perform as a soloist.

In cooperation with the Rotary Club Dubrovnik, on December 16th, we will have an opportunity to hear a traditional Christmas concert. This concert has a humanitarian character and numerous artists such as the soprano Adela Golac Rilović, guitarist Lovro Peretić and klapa Kaše will perform. The concert will be conducted by Tomislav Fačini and we will hear some of the most beautiful Advent and Christmas songs. The concert will take place at the Dominican church at 7:30 pm.

The traditional Christmas concert that has been held annually since 1991 on the same date and in the same place will take place again this year featuring the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Mixed Choir Libertas and other Dubrovnik choirs, soloists and singing groups who will perform at the Franciscan church. The conductors at this concert will be Viktor Lenert and Slobodan Begić and the program will include traditional Christmas songs and chants. The concert starts at 8 pm.

The New Year cannot start without music - on January 1st on Stradun, right at noon, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of Israeli conductor Noam Zur, with soloists soprano Valentina Fijačko Kobić and tenor Domagoj Dorotić.
