Dubrovnik is a festival town and this winter it will transform into a magical winter wonderland adorned with thousands of lights, filled with holiday spirit and humour, song and joy.
The City of Dubrovnik and the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, together with the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, cultural institutions and public companies, have prepared a varied cultural, entertainment, gastronomy and music program for all ages and all types of visitors.
The fifth edition of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival will open on 1 December 2018 with the ceremonial lighting of the first Advent candle and the lighting of the decorative holiday lighting, followed by a concert of one of the most popular Croatian singers.
This winter on weekends traditional Christmas carolling and klapa multipart singing will add to the enchanting atmosphere of Dubrovnik, from the eastern gate at Brsalje, across Stradun to Gundulić Square, where a live music program will be organised along with a gastronomic delights that will be on offer in wooden cottages.
At the joy of children, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board will once again organize the traditional Christmas Fairytale which will be held on December 16th and during which more than a thousand gifts will be distributed, while sweet tooth’s will celebrate the charity Cake Party.
Once again, the focus of the fifth Dubrovnik Winter Festival this year are concerts that will take place on the most beautiful stage in the world, the main street in the Old City – Stradun, as well as a rich program to welcome the New Year.
