A special part of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival is the Children's Winter Festival Orlandino.
The Lujo Šoletić Park in Gruž will be magically decorated with holiday lights in children's motifs. For the entire duration of the children's program there will be an amusement park and skating rink set up in Gruž, and a new addition this year is the Hansel and Gretel Cottage which will hold a variety of programs for children.
The Natural History Museum will join the Festival program through the organization of interesting and educational workshops at the museum. Among children's programs that will be held in December in front of the Church of St. Blaise, the traditional sweet and fun charity event ˝Cake Party˝ and the Christmas Fairy Tale particularly stand out, both events organized by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board that are sure to please the youngest. The unique part of the Christmas Fairy Tale is the thousand and a half gifts that will be handed out that day to children on Stradun. The final part of the workshop ˝Kolenda and Christmas songs˝ will be held in the Marin Držić Theatre, led by hosts Paola Dražić Zekić and Sanja Dražić, who will teach Dubrovnik children traditional Christmas songs from the region.
The ice rink and amusement park will be open in the scope of the 3rd Dubrovnik Winter Festival until 8 January 2017.
