Although shopping is most often associated with women, men find it more and more difficult to resist. People begin to see shopping as a twin bother of wellness and its relaxing effect, which makes them happier and more content at least for a moment.Dubrovnik does not have a street with luxurious boutiques, such as Oxford and Bond Streets in London, Avenue des Champs Elysees in Paris, the 5th Avenue in New York and Montenaoileone in Milan, but it is charming to come across some finely decorated and equipped shops with the world famous brands while promenading along the Stradun.

In the Street of St Dominic, which connects the Old City with its eastern entrance, one can see the finest Croatian luxurious multibrand boutique the Concept Store Maria, which sells the clothes and shoes designed by Celine, Givency, YSL, Miu Miu, Jil Sander, Faliero Sarti, La Perla, Cloe, Marc Jacobs and others.Across the Rectors Palace there are several shops with exclusive brands such as Max Mara and the Croatian Croata, while a shop belonging to the Borza Group sells a wide selection of luxurious products: the Bogner, La Coste, Guess and Bracciallini bags the Omega and Tag Hauer, Tissot, Armani and Dolce Gabbana wrist watches the jewellery and sun glasses by Chanel, Bulgari, Chopard, Cristian Dior, Gucci, Oacley, Ray Ban and others. In the Stradun one can see boutiques such as Marella, La Costa and Gant, in the Široka Street La boutique with a special choice of the Paccioti and Guess shoes and bags, while a Tomy Hilfiger boutique is located in a picturesque lane in close proximity to the most beautiful street of Dubrovnik.

While taking a leisurely walk and discovering narrow streets which smell of the Mediterranean, one can also come across the shops with the clothes by popular Croatian designers and with gold and filigree jewellery of outstanding beauty.
